We are not our thoughts

We are not our Thoughts

It is important to realize that you are not your thoughts.  You are the person experiencing the thoughts.  When you create thoughts, your neurons fire unconsciously.  Over time if you continually have these thoughts, the thoughts become our thought patterns and eventually over time they become our core beliefs about ourselves and the way we see the world.  Over the course of our lives, these beliefs drive our behaviors which reinforce our patterns and narratives that we have created.

My offering to you today is simply to get curious about your thoughts without judgement.

Take a big deep cleansing breath in through your nose and out through your mouth three times.

Imagine that everything that you have ever wanted is already here and present in your life.

How does that feel in your body?   Surrender into that possibility.  Create these new thoughts and you will ultimately create new behaviors and a new future.

How do you create new thoughts?  I use my breath as the bridge between my external and internal landscape.  If you want to create more peace in your external life, create more peace in your internal life.  Meditate, take 3 deep cleansing breaths, diffuse your favorite oil, write three things you are grateful for, do something kind for someone in your life, get outside, put oils in epsom salt and soak, exercise and chillax.

Choose to embody love in place of all of this fear and uncertainty.  Let’s take responsibility for our thoughts, emotions, beliefs and behaviors.
